At dawn on Tuesday, 20 Aban (10 November), the death sentence of a prisoner named Omid Beqlani was carried out in Sepidar Prison in Ahwaz. According to HRANA, he had previously been arrested on charges of murder and sentenced to death by a criminal court.

However, the execution has not yet been confirmed or publicly reported by prison authorities or official state institutions.

According to data from the Statistics and Publications Center of Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRA), between 10 October 2024 and 8 October 2025, only about 5.86% of executions carried out in Iran were officially announced, while 94.14% were conducted secretly or without any media coverage. In many such cases, prisoners were even denied the right to a final visit with their families.
