Ahmad Mohseni, an Arab citizen residing in Abadan, was killed on October 22, 2026, while traveling from Abadan to Falahiyeh (Shadgan) due to gunfire from Iranian security forces. According to reports from the Moj Telegram channel, the security forces pursued Mohseni after he failed to stop at a checkpoint, opening fire on his vehicle at a crossroads in Dar Khoyn. Following the shooting, his vehicle overturned, and Mohseni sustained serious injuries. He was transported to Falahiyeh Hospital, approximately 20 kilometers from the incident site, but succumbed to his injuries. Shooting at a moving vehicle, especially when there is no immediate and clear threat, poses a severe risk to the occupants and raises questions about the necessity and proportionality of the use of firearms. As of the publication of this report, the police command in the Khuzestan region has not issued any statement regarding the death of this citizen.
