Two Sunni Arab Ahwazi Arrested in the “Kut Abdullah” Area of Ahwaz

According to reports received by the Karun Human Rights Organization, two Sunni Arab Ahwazi citizens, Reza Batrani and Mohammad Neisi, residents of the Khazami neighborhood in the Kut Abdullah area of Ahwaz, were arrested by security forces on Monday, December 8.

Based on available information, both men are married and have children.

It has been reported that Reza Batrani had previously spent two years in prison. However, as of the time of this report, no information has been provided regarding the arresting authority, the charges against them, or their current place of detention.

The Karun Human Rights Organization has expressed serious concern over the lack of information regarding the fate and whereabouts of these two individuals and has called for the immediate clarification of their legal status, as well as transparent communication with their families.
