According to reports received by Karun Human Rights Organization, security forces simultaneously raided the homes of members of Sepideh Gholian’s family in Qanitra (Dezful) on the morning of Thursday, January 4, 2026. During the operation, the residences were thoroughly searched, and all digital equipment belonging to the family—including mobile phones and laptops—was confiscated.
Based on information obtained from the Atlas of Iranian Prisons, more than 15 agents affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence entered Sepideh Gholian’s family home at approximately 10:00 a.m. Following the search, they seized mobile phones and laptops belonging to her siblings and nieces and nephews. In a separate action, security agents also raided the home of Mehdi Gholian, Sepideh Gholian’s brother, confiscating the mobile phones of both him and his wife.
These actions took place amid continued concern over the fate of Sepideh Gholian, a former political prisoner, who was arrested on December 12, 2025, during the seventh-day memorial ceremony for the late Khosrow Ali-Kordi in Mashhad. Reports indicate that she was subjected to physical assault at the time of her arrest.
Despite repeated follow-ups by the Gholian family with judicial authorities in Mashhad, no information has so far been provided regarding Sepideh Gholian’s place of detention or her physical condition.
