According to reports received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization, Seiyed Sadegh Mousavi, a resident of Khalafieh (Ramshir) County, was executed at Sepidar Prison in Ahwaz on a charge of intentional murder.
According to the report, Seiyed Sadegh Mousavi, son of Seyyed Hassan, was involved in an intentional murder approximately four years ago at a market in Khalafieh (Ramshir). He was subsequently arrested and sentenced to death.
Mousavi was 43 years old, married, and had children.
The Karoon Human Rights Organization condemns the execution of Seyyed Sadegh Mousavi, reiterates its opposition to the death penalty, and calls for an immediate halt to executions and the abolition of the death penalty in Iran.
