According to reports received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization, Hossein Ghazlavi, an Ahwazi Arab man, was executed on Wednesday, 25 September 2026, in Sepidar Prison in Ahwaz on a charge of intentional murder.
According to the report, Hossein Ghazlavi, a resident of Ahwaz, was arrested 11 years ago on a murder charge and had remained in prison ever since.
The Karoon Human Rights Organization condemns the execution of Hossein Ghazlavi and calls for an end to the issuance and implementation of death sentences, particularly in cases where defendants have been held in prison for prolonged periods.
