According to a report received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization, Hossein Al-Boushoka, a civil rights activist from Fallahieh (Ramshir), son of Falak, married and father of two children, has been held in pretrial detention for approximately four months.
According to information received by the organization, Al-Boushoka was arrested by security forces during the 12-day war between Iran, Israel, and the United States because of his activities on social media.
The civil rights activist is currently being held in Ward 5 of Sheiban Prison in Ahwaz. To date, the proceedings concerning his legal status and the charges against him have remained unclear.
Informed sources told the Karoon Human Rights Organization that Hossein Al-Boushoka was subjected to physical and psychological pressure and torture while being held in solitary confinement.
As his detention continues, concerns have increased regarding his physical and psychological well-being, as well as respect for his legal rights.
The Karoon Human Rights Organization condemns the continued detention of Hossein Al-Boushoka and any torture or inhumane treatment inflicted upon him. The organization calls for an end to his arbitrary detention, a transparent and fair review of his case, and guarantees of his access to legal counsel and all of his rights under the law.
