Reports received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization indicate the arrest of Jassim Nabgani, a 36-year-old Ahwazi Arab resident of the Sheyban neighborhood in Ahwaz.
Nabgani was arrested on 15 April 2025 by forces affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ahwaz. He was subjected to severe physical assault during his arrest at his home.
According to informed sources, following his detention, he was transferred to an undisclosed location, and no information has since been made available regarding his place of detention. His family has been denied contact with him and has received no information about his condition.
