According to reports from human rights sources, Hossein Karm allah chaab, a 37-year-old Arab citizen, married and the father of two children, a resident of the Tafkir (Andisheh) area in Tostar County (Shushtar), was directly shot by security forces of the Iranian regime on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, while passing through a checkpoint on a motorcycle.
The shooting reportedly occurred after he failed to comply with a stop signal. He is currently reported to be in critical condition.
This incident represents another example of the ongoing and systematic violations of human rights in the Ahwaz region (Khuzestan), where Arab citizens have repeatedly been subjected to violence and excessive use of force while passing through security checkpoints or during protests, placing their lives and personal safety at serious risk.
