According to reports received by the Karun Human Rights Organization, 310 citizens arrested during the recent protests have been transferred to Sheiban Prison in Ahwaz.
Based on these reports, all detainees have been denied any form of contact with their families and are being held under very harsh and concerning conditions.
Informed sources emphasize that prison authorities have prevented these individuals from mixing or communicating with other prisoners. It has also been reported that some interrogations, and even judicial review and trial procedures, are being conducted inside the prison, indicating that intelligence detention centers are overcrowded and that there is unprecedented pressure on security and judicial institutions.
Human rights activists have warned about the situation of these detainees and have called for their immediate access to lawyers, contact with their families, and the observance of minimum human rights standards.
