Babak Rabiei, Head of the Ahwaz Fire Department and Municipal Safety Services, reported a city gas explosion in a four-unit residential building in the Kianshahr district of Ahwaz, stating that the incident was caused by a gas leak and resulted in the deaths of five people.
According to Rabiei, firefighters and emergency response teams arrived at the scene immediately after the explosion. Operations to secure the area, remove debris, and investigate the cause of the incident were promptly initiated.
Further investigations into the exact circumstances of the explosion and the extent of material damage are ongoing.
