According to reports received by the “Karun Human Rights Organization”, Hussein Hosseini, 33 years old, son of Alaaeddin, an Ahwazi Arab citizen and resident of Shahrbar-e Khademabad, was killed on January 7, 2026, in the Khademabad area of Tehran after being shot directly in the head by Iranian security forces.
According to local sources, following the incident, Hussein Hosseini’s family remained in complete uncertainty about his fate and whereabouts for approximately one week, until his body was eventually handed over to them.
Based on these reports, in the initial days after his disappearance, the family was told that Hussein Hosseini had been transferred to Kahrizak. During this period, officials reportedly demanded payment of so-called “bullet fees” in exchange for the return of his body. Local sources state that after observing the extremely poor living conditions of his parents, authorities ultimately required only a written pledge and signature from the family before releasing his body.
