According to reports received by the Karun Human Rights Organization, Faridoun Karimi Babaahmadi, 34 years old, a member of the Bakhtiari tribe and a resident of Yazdan-Shahr, was shot and killed on January 8 during the protests after being directly targeted by heavy machine-gun fire from forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Local sources report that Faridoun Karimi Babaahmadi was originally from the Masjed Soleyman area in the Ahwaz region (Khuzestan Province). He was struck by a bullet to the heart and was killed instantly.
