Iran’s Revolutionary Court Based in Ahwaz Summons 11 Arab Citizens, Including 9 Women

According to reports received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization, Iran’s Criminal and Revolutionary Court based in Ahwaz has issued summonses to 11 Arab citizens, including nine women and two men, ordering them to appear before the court for the enforcement of judicial sentences issued against them.

According to information received by the organization, these citizens were arrested more than a year and a half ago due to their political and civil activities. Following their transfer to detention facilities operated by the Ministry of Intelligence, they were subjected to months of physical and psychological pressure. Most of them were subsequently released on bail pending the completion of their judicial proceedings.

According to the report, on September 6, 2026 (15 Shahrivar 1405), Iran’s Revolutionary Court based in Ahwaz issued summonses ordering these citizens to appear before the court for the enforcement of the sentences issued against them.

The individuals were tried on charges including “membership in a group or association formed with the aim of disrupting national security,” “propaganda against the Islamic Republic,” “assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal or external security,” and “disturbing public order and public peace.” They are now facing the enforcement of judicial sentences.

The names of the 11 citizens are:

  • Saeedeh Heydari-Rad,resident of Sayahi District, Ahwaz
  • Amal Dahymawi, resident of Malashieh, Ahwaz
  • Kosar Asakereh, resident of Bastano Village, Asaluyeh
  • Ayat Mohammadi, resident of Hamidiyeh
  • Fatemeh Sawari, resident of Alavi District, Ahwaz
  • Khadijeh Hawali,resident of Mollathani
  • Eftekhār Rostamzadeh, resident of Fallahieh (Shadegan)
  • Seyedeh Fatemeh Hosseini, resident of Kian District, Ahwaz
  • Ameneh Beit-Sayah, resident of Mandali District, Ahwaz
  • Mostafa Jafari, resident of Ahwaz
  • Hossein Heydari-Far,resident of Sayahi District, Ahwaz

Given the timing of their arrests, it is believed that the detentions may have taken place during the 12-day war between Iran, Israel, and the United States, coinciding with widespread internet shutdowns. These circumstances severely restricted the ability to report on the arrests and the situation of the detained citizens.

The Karoon Human Rights Organization condemns the summonses issued against these citizens and the judicial proceedings against them. The organization calls for an end to security and judicial measures targeting citizens for their civil and political activities and urges full respect for their rights throughout the judicial process.
