According to reports received by Karun Human Rights Organization, five Ahwazi citizens who were arrested several weeks ago by security forces were transferred on Saturday, December 27, 2025, to Sheiban Prison in Ahwaz.

According to the report, the individuals are being prosecuted on charges of having connections with Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, the host of the “Restart” program, who is currently residing outside Iran. An informed source stated that four of the detainees were transferred to Ward 8, while one individual was transferred to Ward 5 of Sheiban Prison.

Seyed Mohammad Hosseini is an Iranian television host, actor, and media producer, best known for hosting the online program “Restart.” He previously worked in Iranian state television and continued producing the program on digital and radio platforms after leaving the country. The content of “Restart” combines political, social, mystical, and philosophical themes and has generated widespread controversy and public reaction.
