The Iran Human Rights Organization reported that on the morning of Sunday, 2 Azar 1404 (Nov 23, 2025), two prisoners were executed at Sepidar Prison in Ahwaz. Their identities have been confirmed as Rahman Moloudi, 36 years old, and Mohammad Nazemi.
According to the organization, Rahman Moloudi was arrested about six years ago following a tribal conflict and sentenced to qisas (retribution) for intentional murder. His sentence was carried out on the morning of Saturday, 1 Azar 1404 (Nov 22, 2025).
The news agency HRANA also confirmed that Mohammad Nazemi was executed alongside Moloudi at dawn on Sunday, 2 Azar 1404 (Nov 23, 2025) in Sepidar Prison.
Neither execution had been officially announced by domestic media at the time of reporting.
According to the annual report of the Iran Human Rights Organization, at least 419 individuals were executed in 2024 for murder based on qisas sentences, marking the highest number of qisas executions since 2010.
