According to Mizan News Agency, affiliated with Iran’s Judiciary, the death sentences of six Ahwazi Arab political prisoners were carried out early this morning, Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Ahwaz. Without mentioning their names, the agency described them as “six separatist terrorists linked to the Zionist regime.”
Meanwhile, the Karun Human Rights Organization announced that these individuals were the same prisoners whose imminent execution had previously been warned about. The organization had repeatedly expressed concern over the imminent execution of these six Ahwazi Arab political prisoners.
According to Karun’s report, those executed were: Ali Mojaddam, Moein Khenfari, Seyed Salem Mousavi, Mohammadreza Moghaddam, Adnan Al-Boushouka (Ghabishavi), and Habib Dris — all of whom were arrested between late 2018 and early 2019. After months of torture in the detention centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization, they were sentenced to death.
Karun sources reported on Saturday that Habib Dris and Seyed Salem Mousavi were held in Ward 5 of Sheyban Prison in Ahwaz until Friday evening, October 3. However, they were secretly transferred overnight to Sepidar Prison without their families being informed and were executed early this morning (Saturday) along with the other four prisoners.
In a statement, the Karun Human Rights Organization described these executions as mass, inhumane, and a blatant violation of the right to life, calling them a clear example of gross human rights violations. The organization urged all international human rights bodies and the United Nations Human Rights Council to strongly condemn this act and call on the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran to end arbitrary and non-transparent executions.
