According to reports received by Karun Human Rights Organization, a number of protesters arrested in the city of Izeh (Idhaj) were transferred today to the quarantine section of Sheiban Prison in Ahwaz.
Based on these reports, the number of male detainees transferred from Izeh to Sheiban Prison is estimated to be between 60 and 80 individuals, who were transported using two buses. In addition, 30 to 40 detained women from Izeh were transferred separately by one bus to the women’s ward of Sepidar Prison in Ahwaz.
Sources familiar with the matter stated that the detainees are facing charges including “participation in unrest” and “acting against national security.”
