According to received reports, Diako Mohammadi, an 18-year-old young man from Salas-e Babajani and a resident of Jasm Island (Qeshm), was killed on January 19 after being directly shot by armed forces of the Islamic Republic.
Local sources report that this young citizen was targeted by gunfire during protests and was killed as a result of the gunshot wounds.
The killing of Diako Mohammadi is yet another example of the lethal use of firearms against protesters and unarmed civilians during recent demonstrations, a pattern that raises serious concerns about violations of the right to life, the disproportionate use of force, and the lack of accountability.
