According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sasan Sheikhi was executed by hanging in Behbahan Prison during the early morning hours. As of the time of this report, no official authority or prison official has publicly announced or confirmed the execution.
Simultaneously, Kabir Mahmoudvand was executed at dawn on the same day in Mashoor Prison. He had likewise been convicted of murder and sentenced to death by a criminal court following his arrest.
Based on annual statistics published by the Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRA), between October 10, 2024, and October 8, 2025, only 5.86 percent of executions in Iran were officially announced. The remaining 94.14 percent were carried out secretly or without public notification, a practice that in many cases deprives prisoners of their right to a final family visit.
