According to reports received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization, Jalil Salamat, an Ahwazi Arab man, was executed on Tuesday, 31 September 2026, in Sepidar Prison in Ahwaz on a charge of intentional murder.
According to the report, Jalil Salamat, a resident of Ahwaz, was arrested six years ago on a murder charge in connection with an incident at a marketplace in the Hasirabad area of Ahwaz.
The Karoon Human Rights Organization condemns the execution of Jalil Salamat and calls for an end to the issuance and implementation of death sentences.
