Ahmad Baladi’s Mother Hospitalized in Intensive Care; Physical and Mental Condition Critical

Mani Baladi, the mother of Ahmad Baladi, an Arab student from Ahwaz who died by self-immolation on 20 Aban (10 November 2025), was admitted to the intensive care unit on Monday, 26 Aban (16 November 2025) following severe physical and psychological collapse.

According to medical reports received by the Karun Human Rights Organization, Ms. Baladi has experienced severe psychological shock since the incident, and learning of her son’s death caused a rapid deterioration in her condition. The Baladi family had to urgently transfer her to the hospital for close medical supervision. Doctors have warned that her mental and physical state is critical, requiring immediate psychological and medical support.

It is worth noting that Ahmad Baladi, a young man from Ahwaz, self-immolated in the Zeytun area of the city on Sunday, 11 Aban (1 November 2025), and passed away nine days later at Taleghani Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
