According to reports received by the Karoon Human Rights Organization, the death sentence of Emad Mirdooghi, a prisoner from Salehieh, Andimeshk, was carried out on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Fajr Qanitra Prison (Dezful).
Emad Mirdooghi, 28 years old, had been arrested approximately 10 years ago at the age of 18 on charges of “murder” and subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian authorities. In recent days, efforts were made to obtain the consent of the victim’s family to prevent the execution, but these efforts were unsuccessful.
On Wednesday morning, around 12 PM, family members and relatives of Emad Mirdooghi gathered in front of Dezful Prison, demanding a halt to the execution. However, the victim’s family refrained from expressing their consent, and ultimately, the death sentence was carried out.
